We tend to think of dry skin as only being something that affects us during winter, but exposure to the sun, chlorine and sea water can all take its toll on the condition of our skin, so now is not the time to ditch those moisturisers.
If you have a drier skin then it is best to look for a heavier moisturiser which contains ingredients, such as Glycerin, propylene glycol which help keep skin hydrated. Lanolin, mineral oil, and petrolatum also lock in moisture.
Introducing Celltone’s newest addition to its body range: Epicell.
This scientifically formulated moisturiser and has been dermatologically tested to be gentle and non-irritating on even the most fragile, delicate and vulnerable skin. Epicell absorbs quickly and leaves no greasy after-feel. It is fragrance and paraben-free and is ideal for dry and extremely dry skin.
Remember that all moisturisers work most effectively when applied to warm, damp skin after a bath or shower. If your skin is extremely dry you may want to consider applying twice daily to relieve the irritation and itchiness associated with dry skin conditions.
Also, always remember that skin hydrates from the inside as well, so as the temperature rises increase your fluid intake, preferably of water, to help hydrate the skin and get rid of nasty toxins which can lead to pimples and breakouts.
Celltone Epicell comes in two variants – one for adults (R89,90 for 200ml) and one for babies and kiddies (R89,90 for 200ml).
