Celebrity favourite brand, Juicy Couture officially launched the opening of their flagship store in Melrose Arch on the evening of Thursday 15th October.
The launch event was a lavish affair: guests were welcomed at the stylish reception while having photographs taken by Instagram’s popular fashion photographer, “That Guy with Glasses”, also known as Charlemagne Olivier. Sprawled along the broad passages of the Melrose Arch centre was a black carpet adorned with artistic arrangements of pink flowers. Ten local beauties from a variety of leading model agencies stood statuesque – throughout the event on elevated podiums – proudly showcasing looks from the brand’s collections: track, sport, sleepwear and fashion items.
Drinks and hors d’oeuvres flowed whilst an A-list of fashion media, bloggers and celebrities socialised. Guests were welcomed by Surtee Group’s United States sector Brand Manager, Suhail Surtee. The formalities were concluded with an applause as the ribbon was cut and the store officially opened.
Guests mingled as they shopped throughout the large and fashion- forward store. As special guests of the brand each person was given a 25% discount voucher, encouraging them to shop up a storm. In addition, a 15% discount will be granted to the very same guests upon their second visit to the store.
The event flowed to the sounds of deep, funky, minimal and jazzy house music from the vinyl decks of gorgeously sassy, Abby Nurock. Selfies being all the rage, a selfie booth was created, encouraging guests to take a photo with Juicy Couture fragrance declaration plaques bearing the following statements: I am not modest, I am not subtle, I am not ordinary, I am not conventional, I am not typical, I am Juicy Couture.
The Juicy Couture store is located in the upper shopping level of Melrose Arch Shopping centre at shop H40G and can be contacted on (011) 684 1042.
