Melissa has done it again! Introducing-Jeremy Scott- another visionary and talented designer to collaborate with the Brazilian footwear brand. In teaming with Melissa, Scott joins the Brazilian brands past collaborators including Vivienne Westwood and Karl Lagerfeld. On Monday, September 14th, two styles-designed by Scott- will be unveiled at the SS16 New York Fashion Week show.
Scott worked together with Melissa creating two signature styles for the brand. The first an ankle boot dubbed- the JEREMY SCOTT AD and the second a mule aptly called- MELISSA INFLATABLE MULE. The shoes will be immediately available internationally at Gallertia stores in New York, London and Sao Paolo. Fittingly for the SS16 runway collection, Scott, will choose from amazing colourful options for the mule and for the ankle boot to flaunt the fantastical designs. “Being my first foray into plastic footwear, I wanted to play with the concept of inflatable pool toys,” continued Scott.
The brand is excited to have Jeremy Scott on board, and present these two new and stylish shoes of his creation. “It is a great pleasure and an honor to have the name of Jeremy Scott as the newest member of Melissa designer team. His talent, irreverence and attitude combine into what we believe to be the Melissa attitude,” said Paulo Pedo, CEO of Melissa. “Attitude is the base of the design problem solving, Art as the spice of life and fashion as one of the most authentic personal expressions.
