HOT ONLINE FASHION GOES LIVE WITH LAY-BY

Plettenberg Bay, South Africa, 13 November 2012- For the first time ever in South Africa, online fashion shoppers will be offered a lay-by payment option. Hot Online Fashion, South Africa’s most unique and innovative online shopping website, are proud to announce the immediate launch of their groundbreaking online lay-by payment system. They are confident that it will breathe fresh life into the South African public’s perception of pay by instalment systems and that there will be an enthusiastic uptake of this valuable offering across various LSM’s.

Hot Online Fashion was founded in 2011 by Marketing and Visual guru Daron Chatz and technical fundi Sean Butterworth. Together they see themselves as having the perfect mix of creative sass and techno savvy and offer a visually appealing site that is fun and easy to use.

“We realise that the physical presence of a retailer is still very important to the South African shopper and online retail is not about eradicating bricks and mortar, but rather embracing the new technologies that are available to us and providing customers with options across various channels”.

“Our site has a broad appeal and has just as much to offer the boutique shopper as it does the department store customer”, says Butterworth, who adds “We feel that by introducing a lay-by system on our site, we are showing people that they really can have their ‘True Religion Jeans and wear them’, without breaking the bank”.

Online retailers in both the US and Australia have been leading a revival of lay-by programs and accredit its popularity to the fact that consumers have become increasingly fearful of mounting credit card debt.

With customers becoming more and more budget conscious, the Australian Retailers Association is encouraging more retailers to adopt pay by instalment programs as a way to increase sales and please customers. “At Hot Online Fashion we are all about creating a positive experience for our shoppers and nurturing our relationships with them. It’s not so much about whether our customers are loyal to us, but more about whether we are loyal to our customers.

By offering an alternative payment option we are providing them with a way to stretch their rands further and get more bang for their buck”, says Chatz.

“As online shopping within South Africa gains momentum, we are positive that our zero percent interest lay-by system will be eagerly received as a credit free payment option in these tough economic times”, he said. Thanks to Hot Online Fashion for pioneering an easier way forward for South African online shoppers.
